Video footage shows a woman being struck by a small amount of falling snow while clearing snow beneath the eaves of a building. Moments after she steps away, a large volume of snow suddenly slides off the roof and crashes down.
The incident occurred on January 21, 2026, in Huaibei, Anhui Province, China. According to local reports, the woman was shoveling snow near the building when the initial fall hit her back and caused her to move away from the area.
The woman later stated she was briefly stunned but not injured. She said the first fall of snow acted as a warning, preventing her from being caught under the larger roof collapse.
