A camel wandered onto the Aktau–Zhanaozen highway, temporarily disrupting traffic and contributing to a large vehicle backup. Patrol police intervened to clear the roadway and prevent an accident.
The incident occurred in the Mangistau Region of Kazakhstan during police-managed traffic operations on January 26, 2026. More than 500 vehicles were moving along the highway at the time.
Police officers escorted traffic and safely removed the animal from the road. No injuries were reported, and traffic later resumed normally. Authorities reminded drivers to remain cautious, as animals frequently enter suburban highways in the region.
