Video footage shows an Amur tigress and her three cubs being released back into their natural habitat after a temporary capture by wildlife inspectors. The animals move away into forested terrain following their release.
The tigress and her cubs were captured in late December 2025 near the village of Selikhino in the Komsomolsky District of Khabarovsk Krai, Russia. Local residents had repeatedly reported sightings of the tigress near roads and close to populated areas. Inspectors determined that the animal was protecting her cubs, prompting a decision to relocate the family for safety reasons.
The animals were released in a remote area of Khabarovsk Krai with a high population of ungulates and far from human settlements. The operation was carried out by regional hunting authorities with support from wildlife protection services. Officials confirmed the release was successful.
