CCTV footage shows an attempted ram raid at a jewelry store, where several people tried to force entry by driving a car into the building. The vehicle struck the storefront, but the roller shutter held, preventing access to the shop.
The incident occurred during the night of January 30, 2026, on Nieuwe Binnenweg in Rotterdam, the Netherlands. Neighbors reported being awakened by a loud impact and immediately alerted police. Officers arrived quickly and secured the area after initially checking whether suspects were still inside the store.
Although the robbery was unsuccessful and nothing was stolen, the shop sustained significant damage. Windows and display cases were shattered, and glass was scattered inside the premises. Police seized the vehicle involved and are reviewing security camera footage as the investigation continues. No arrests have been reported.
